hamburger cake

I've blogged about hamburger cupcakes before, and I've blogged about a burger cake before, but never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get my very own hamburger cake for my birthday! My sister Hanna surprised me with this amazing cake when I went home to visit last weekend - I was soooo excited - AND it was delicious! Thanks Hanna - you are the BEST sister EVER!

I came home last night to a wonderful surprise birthday package in the mail... another beautiful handmade purse from my cousin Natalie. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is amazing, and I love the antique buttons - not to mention this mustard yellow goes with most of the clothes in my closet. Thanks Nat - I LOVE IT!

After seeing Serena Mitnik-Miller featured in my latest issues of BOTH Foam and Monster Children, I had to look up her work. Her ocean-inspired water colors are beautiful, I love the simple bubble & water drop shapes. These painting definitely feel like they came from the sea.
