Fall in Wisconsin
I was already starting to get in the mood for fall, with candy corn and pumpkin spiced lattes, but now that I am spending the week in Hartford, Wisconsin, it really feels official. The trees are changing colors, leaves cover the ground everywhere, and there is a pumpkin on almost every single porch in the neighborhood. Many of the adorable houses are decorated for Halloween and the air is a chilly, crisp cold that we don't get in Southern California. It even smells like fall outside - musty dry leaves mixed with burning fireplaces. I love it here, and am already hoping I get to come back and experience it around Christmas time!
